Wine Spectator Grand Award
2003 - 2007
"Our highest award is given to those restaurants that show an uncompromising, passionate devotion to quality. These lists show serious depth of mature vintages, outstanding breadth in their vertical offerings, excellent harmony with the menu, superior organization and presentation and 1,250 or more selections."
'21' is one of only five restaurants in New York City to receive this prestigious award. |
Among '21's other numerous achievements, the restaurant has been bestowed with the DiRoNA Award (Distinguished Restaurants of North America), along with Where New York's "Visitors Choice Award" for best fine dining restaurant and best bar.
Bar Room Awards
Along with hosting the stars, '21' Club has accumulated a few more of its own:
4 Stars (out of four): The Forbes 2007 All-Star Eateries in New York, December 24, 2007
"Crain's New York Business" awarded the restaurant with 3 stars, the New York Law Journal gave it 3½, and Forbes magazine named '21' as one of its few 4 star restaurants for the ninth consecutive year!
6 Stars & 6 Stripes
Overall - "Cuisine & Service"
Our new Zagat 2007 survey:
This “venerable” onetime speakeasy, a “formidable fixture” in Midtown, delivers “satisfying” Traditional American fare to a “virtual who’s who” of “high rollers” in “clubby”, jackets-required quarters manned by a “solicitous yet unobtrusive” “formal” crew; to avoid a “shocker” of a tab, “check out the $40 pre-theater prix fixe”; N.B. party-throwers should note there are 10 “lovely” private rooms. |
