Orient-Express features prominently in the Condé Nast Traveller 2008 Reader's Travel Awards
Orient-Express Hotels, Trains & Cruises is delighted that ten Orient-Express hotels feature in the recently announced Condé Nast Traveller 2008 Reader's Travel Awards.
La Residencia in Mallorca was ranked 1st in the category of 'Overseas Leisure Hotels - Europe, Asia Minor & Russian Federation' and was placed also in 10th position in The World's Top 100. |
Following closely in 2nd position for the category of 'Overseas Leisure Hotels - Europe, Asia Minor & Russian Federation' is the beautiful Hotel Splendido in Portofino, in 4th position Hotel Cipriani and in 10th Hotel Caruso.
In the category of 'Overseas Leisure Hotels - Australasia and South Pacific' the two Australian Orient-Express properties both feature. Lilianfels Blue Mountains in 3rd position and The Observatory Hotel in 10th position. Lilianfels Blue Mountains was also placed 36th in The World's Top 100 category.

Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, the only hotel located alongside the ancient citadel, was placed 6th in 'Overseas Leisure Hotels - The Americas and Caribbean' with the world-famous Copacabana Palace in 10th position.
Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons was ranked 4th best 'UK Leisure Hotel' with the highest score in the category for food/restaurants. The hotel was also placed 74th in The World's Top 100.
In addition to these outstanding Leisure Awards, the Hotel Ritz Madrid was ranked 7th in the 'Overseas Business Hotels' category. |
